Acclaimed by the Museum of Modern Art in New York as "one of the greatest human documents to come out of WWII," this is the moving story of the liberation of French prisoners from Nazi concentration camps.

It is a quietly understated film, recorded by U.S. Army Signal Corps cameramen and the great French still photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, himself a prisoner in one of the camps. Scenes include the prisoners being removed to temporary hospitals and their joyful reunions with family and friends in Paris.
