It is a quietly understated film, recorded by U.S. Army Signal Corps cameramen and the great French still photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, himself a prisoner in one of the camps. Scenes include the prisoners being removed to temporary hospitals and their joyful reunions with family and friends in Paris.
